Internet-based research

  • Randall Starling

The Internet may be seen as one of the most transforming innovations of this century. We, along with our partners at the Golden, CO multimedia health communication company, Klein-Buendel, have established a program of research to examine how Internet and mobile computing technology can be used to impact substance use behavior among a variety of groups (adolescents, college students), and more generally, how the Internet can be used to affect a variety of health behaviors on such issues as diet and vaccine uptake. Our research efforts here are to examine cutting edge technological innovations, and how they may be leveraged to improve the health status of New Mexicans, U.S. citizens, and populations across the globe.
