5th Annual Pre-Conference Satellite Session
Research on Mechanisms of Behavior Change: Focus on Methods
This year's program will have two themes. The first theme will address longitudinal and experimental designs to study behavior change. Presentations will provide exemplars of applied research in these areas as well as statistical approaches. The second theme will address factors associated with behavior change that are outside the realm of treatment. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Thomas Valente, will address the role of social networks on behavior change. The program will also include an informal Q&A session during the lunch hour, a presentation from NIAAA on current research priorities for the institute, and a presentation on writing a successful NIH application that focuses on mechanisms of behavior change.
